I do provide information concerning classes I teach or courses I am in the process of developing. We in the Computer Science/Computer Information Systems program are a small yet very dedicated group of computer science and information technology professionals. With the support and backing of our Professional Advisory Board, Department Director and our Department Chair, we are constantly updating curriculum to better offer to our students the best training possible.
Whether you are a beginning or an advanced computer student, the Computer Science/Computer Information Systems program at Chemeketa Community College provides courses to improve your computer and software knowledge and skills, or will enable you to transfer to a four-year University. The CIS Associate in Science degree enables you to develop and/or upgrade your skills for career advancement. The Certificate of Completion Pathways qualifies you for entry-level employment in occupational settings that utilize computers and various software applications. You can complete two-year degree programs in: Associates in Applied Science in Computer Systems and Information, Associates in Arts Oregon Transfer Degree Computer Science emphasis, or Associates in Applied Science in Health Informatics. With the Associates in Applied Science in Computer Systems and Information degree you can choose from six areas of specialization, or you can choose to take the Certificate Pathway.
